Step inside some of Quincy’s most beautiful private residences during Quincy Preserves’ Behind Closed Doors Fall Home Tour on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 am to 3 pm. Homeowners will open their doors to visitors, offering a rare glimpse into the city’s rich architectural heritage through these five remarkable historic homes.

Each stop on the tour showcases not only the artistry and design of its era, but also the architecture, history and personality that make these houses true works of living history. Tour guides will be on hand to share stories, point out unique details and answer questions along the way.
Locations include:
  • 1419 Locust Street (Monckton Mansion)
  • 301 Lincoln Hill NW
  • 433 North 20th Street
  • 1516 Kentucky Street
  • 2325 Maine Street
This signature event is Quincy Preserves’ largest of the year, with tour proceeds supporting scholarships and the organization’s commercial and residential façade improvement programs. By participating, you’ll be helping preserve and showcase the historic character that makes Quincy’s neighborhoods so distinctive.
Advance tickets are $20 and available at Emerald City Jewelers, Udry Jewelers, and Kirlin’s Hallmark, starting on Thursday, Sept. 18, through Friday, Oct. 17; or online at quincypreserves.org. Tickets will be available at each location for $25 on the day of the tour.
