​Carefully placed overlooking Quinsippi Bay, the rustic structures of Quincy’s Log Cabin Village chronicle the life of early area settlers. A wild and untamed frontier attracted visionaries and the county began to grow. Part of the charm, the simple design of the Lincoln-era log cabins invokes the optimistic pioneer spirit; out of humble beginnings through our own determination there is possible greatness. 

Quincy Artists Guild members will display their artwork from August 12th through the 19th at the Cheryl Loatsch Studio, 334 South 48th, Quincy, IL. Regular viewing hours will be from 10 am-4 pm. Monday through Friday, 10 am-2 pm on Saturdays (closed on Sunday). The exhibition is free and open to the public.
 
The artists have produced a wide variety of art, working with different media such as oils, watercolors and pastels. During the year the Guild members share with each other new techniques and demonstrations. There are over 200 pieces of art submitted along with handmade jewelry, greeting cards and bookmarks. New this year is a “cash and carry” option.
 
If you are an artist or have always wanted to be, the Quincy Artists Guild will welcome you to become a member and share the love of painting, sketching, print making, ceramics, jewelry and more! The Guild meets every Monday at 9 am. at the Cheryl Loatsch Studio, 334 South 48th, Quincy, IL. Membership is $30 a year. Arts Quincy is excited to present the 2023-2024 Community Arts Resource Guide. This is a catalog listing opportunities in the arts for teachers applying to receive Instant Arts Classroom Grants. For these Instant Arts Classroom Grants, K-6th grade teachers can apply for up to $150 to take their students on a field trip or bring a teaching artist into the classroom.
